Nokia released its new major Symbian firmware: Symbian Anna for Nokia C7, N8 and E7 , wich were left out, when Nokia presented Anna already running on Nokia E6 and X7.

Nokia has managed to built in a very unique feature in the new version of Symbian^3 devices like Nokia N8 , C7 or E7: USBtoGO
with this feature you can connect USB thumb drives or even 2.5" HDDs to your phone and open files from it or copying large files to it.

Looks like Nokia is finally testing the new firmware PR1.1 these days :-) according to nitishkumar.net and several sources on twitter, the new Nokia N8 firmware V013.015 is in quality assurance now.
