O Nokia, where art thou?
it has been quite a while since i had time to write my own view about the recent mobile market and Nokia's part in it. some recent posts e.g. Randall's Tabula Crypticum, (inspired by a WJS post: Nokia Styles comeback plan) or Rick's look at the new Windows Phone Mango made me think about Nokia's recent situation again.

Thoughts about Microsoft and Nokia
after the dust is settled, it's time to take step back and look at the whole picture from a different point of view...

There are a lot of reasons, which might be the impetus for Nokia’s decision to team up with Microsoft and finally have a chance to fight the epic mobile battle against Apple's iOS and Google's Android. i'd like here to talk about that ones, which could be in my opinion the real reasons for that mega deal.
