Vodafone India has launched first-of-its-kind Customer Experience Center (CEC) for business customers. It is an engagement facility designed to enable business customers to explore a world of innovative communication solutions. Vodafone CEC is located at the corporate office of Vodafone Business Services in Mumbai that covers an area of 2,500 sq.ft. It offers an ambience resembling a futuristic zone totally different from the usual meeting environment, reinforcing Vodafone’s innovative approach to the market. At the CEC, invited customers are taken through a journey comprising of interactive presentations, innovative live demos and discussions, to identify their communication requirements and offer customised solutions for their business needs. Airtel has launched new 3G plans for pre-paid and post-paid customers after Aircel launched new 3G plans last month. They have also introduced Smartbytes additional data usage packs for its postpaid Airtel mobile customers on 3G. Now the plans start at 10MB that would offer 30 minutes of 3G access valid for 1 day. Now Rs. 100 pack offers 300MB free data, Rs. 250 3G pack would offer 1GB of free data, Rs. 450 pack would offer 2GB of free data and Rs 1500 pack would offer 10GB free data that are valid for 30 days. LG announced the Optimus LTE 2 in Korea earlier this month that boasts a whopping 2GB RAM. Now LG has detailed the specs. The phone would come with 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS Display and would be powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It would run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with the latest Optimus UI 3.0. It has 8 megapixel auto focus camera at the back with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel at the front similar to the Optimus LTE. It is 8.9mm thick and weighs 145g . Japan's largest telecom operator NTT Docomo has announced new services and would also enhance the current services under docomo cloud brand for DOCOMO smartphones and tablets. They would launch Mail-Hon’yaku-Concier text translation app, Photo Collection service and enhance the Shabette-Concier voice command-based app. The Mail-Hon’yaku-Concier text translation app would automatically translate text messages, such as e-mails and social networking content, between Japanese and English/Chinese/Korean. It is based on cloud technology that they have been working on.  Docomo's Shabette-Concier, voice command-based app would be enhanced to provide precise answers to inquiries on a wide range of topics. These apps would work on Android 2.2 devices at the launch. They also plans to launch Photo Collection service in August that would offer up to 5GB of free storage to store photos and videos for an unlimited amount of time. It would also support external services including Evernote, Eye-Fi and HighlightCam for better content management. The content would also be accessible over Windows PCs apart from smartphones and tablets that run on Android 4.0. The dmarket would be enhanced to support to sync content that are purchased from DOCOMO’s VIDEO Store, MUSIC Store, BOOK Store or ANIME Store between the multiple devices under one account to the same subscriber.

Bharti Airtel and Axis Bank has partnered to launch banking and payment services on Airtel’s mobile platform. This service is called airtel money Super Account powered by Axis Bank that would let customers open savings account in Axis Bank that offers banking transactions including cash deposit, money transfer and withdrawal. The customers would also get savings account interest and also enabling them to make remittances. This service is aimed at remittance corridors and unbanked areas, where there is greater need of easy money transfers and savings. Infosys is the technology innovation partner. The savings and remittance solutions will be provided in the top 4 remittance corridors involving Delhi and Mumbai on the sending side and Bihar and East UP on the receiving side. It would be extended to other remittance corridors in the country soon. They also plan to introduce new features such as micro Recurring Deposits, micro Fixed Deposits, small loans and micro-insurance products through this platform. Vodafone has introduced a VAS service that enables all its customers in Tamil Nadu to access class 12 exam results on SMS for customers in Tamil Nadu. State board class 12 results are scheduled to release on May 22. Customers can pre-register before the results are announced, by simply dialing 5558835 (Cost Rs. 6/min). By registering their roll numbers, they will be notified about their result through an SMS once the results are declared. You can also SMS <TN12> <Roll Number> to 58888 at INR 3/SMS to receive the result update. Customers would not be charged anything extra for the message they receive. This offer is valid for all Prepaid & Postpaid customers.
