RIM shows off BlackBerry OS 6.0 at WES
RIM shows off, besides BlackBerry Bold 9650 or BlackBerry Pearl 3G, a video of the new BlackBerry OS 6.0.
The folks from Boy Genius Report got some screen captures and live coverage from the WES 2010.

Here are some of the key details:
- - BB 6 OS an evolution of the existing BlackBerry OS
- - implemented kinetic scrolling with rubber banding throughout the OS
- - implemented multitouch throughout the OS - web browser, photos
- (incl. pinch to zoom)
- - Re-vamped inbox - w/ large thumbnails to identify the type of message
- (facebook, twitter, etc.) and features built-in RSS
- - Homescreen changeup: No widget support,
- but RIM has implemented something called Pages
- - On touchscreen device, new modal popup with gestures
- - tap and hold, pops up an icon set (menu) with context menu items
- - Updated media player, photos app and of course the WebKit browser
