Java™ ME Library now with Touch UI

"A new release, version 3.4, was recently announced, and it describes the Java ME development environment for Nokia S60 5th Edition and Series 40 6th Edition mobile devices.

 

The Getting Started section of version 3.4 provides new streamlined instructions for creating your first MIDlet. Other new content in the library includes preview information about Java Runtime 2.1 for Symbian, usage guides on MIDlet diagnostics and on-device debugging, and information about tap detection in the S60 5th Edition’s Touch UI. The Java Developer’s Library version 3.4 is available in three formats: online, Eclipse plug-in, and standalone."

Java™ Developer's Library is a complete resource package for developers wishing to use the Series 40 or Symbian platform for developing mobile Java applications or services.

The library provides introductory, getting started, tutorial, and API-level information. The library is available in HTML format online, as a standalone version, and as an Eclipse plug-in. The Java APIs are available on Forum Nokia, integrated in the Series 40 SDKs and Symbian SDKs for Nokia devices.
