Nokia and Microsoft released a new App in the OVI Store based on their commitment to design and development of new solutions.

"Today, Microsoft and Nokia launched the first application from their alliance around mobile productivity, Microsoft Communicator Mobile for Nokia devices. This new unified communications client connects directly with a company's communications systems to streamline mobile collaboration. Owners of a number of Symbian based Nokia Eseries smartphones can download the English version today from Nokia's Ovi Store, the easiest place to get content on their Nokia device."

"Communicator Mobile enables people to see their colleagues' availability, and click to communicate with them using the best method, from IM to email, text to phone call. The names and status of colleagues are embedded directly into the devices' contacts application, enabling people to update their own presence, start and join instant messaging sessions, and begin calls directly from the contact card."

Share availability and contact information with this presence and instant messaging application for compatible Nokia devices. Using a traffic light system, the workforce can be alerted of each others’ status, allowing them to call, instant message or email respectively. Benefit from a similar presence and instant messaging user experience as the PC-based Microsoft Communicator, but this time through your cellular network.

•     - Tabs for contacts and groups, contacts currently online and conversations
•     - Set and modify own presence state
•     - Chat with one or many contacts in one session and/or in multiple sessions
•     - Start voice call directly from contact card
•     - Corporate directory searching and listing of presence states
•     - Best effort matching of partial names for quick contacts search
