Howto get the Nokia Map Loader running with N900 PR 1.2
A few days ago i've done the firmware update on N900 to PR 1.2. this was a clean wipe out and i had to reinstall all apps and set everything up.

so, i needed to download the data for OVI Maps.
first thing i remembered was: the recent OVI Map Loader 3.0.28 is finally supporting N900. so i've connected my N900 via USB to the computer in "Mass Storage" mode. OVI Map Loader didn't recognise it, then i tried the "PC Suite" mode and a notice came up: like "connect with your N900 in Mass Storage mode".
i've asked some people and gont finally the answer.

here is a fix (2 options) about how to get your N900 filled with maps data in PC Suite Mode using Nokia's Map Loader:
- - rename the qf file on computer
- - rename the qf file on N900 directly
1. Option - rename the qf file on computer:
mandatory: you have the ability to view hidden and system files on your computer
- 1. initial start on N900: Open OVI Maps once and close it after getting the position
- 2. connect your N900 to your PC in Mass Storage via USB
- 3. open the internal memory drive on N900
- 4. look for a file: .qf
- 5. rename the file from .qf to qf
- 6. disconnect your N900
- 7. connect your N900 to your PC in PC Suite mode via USB
- (PC Suite mode - not Mass Storage)
- 8. start Nokia Map Loader (cometimes it takes up to 5min. to recognise the N900) and download the maps data and voices as usual
you're done :-)

2. Option - rename the qf file on N900 directly:
you need: xterm (rootsh)
your steps:
//1. login as root
sudo gainroot
//2. goto MyDocs folder
cd MyDocs
//3. rename the .qf file to qf
mv .qf qf
ready. you're done :-)

OSX

seems like, N900 and OSX are friends at the end...
