Howto install Adblock Plus on N900
i know, that this is for the most of you not a new feature, because you've tested or installed it before :-)
i had to reset my N900 recently and i had to reinstall the AdBlockPlus Plugin for Maemo for the MicroB. i forgot some setting, so i had to search for the informations howto get it up and running again.
now here is what you need to do:
1. download the AdBlockPlus plugin in Version 1.1.1 (do not install the version in maemo-extras)
2. install the plugin
3. setup some filterlists by giving this in your browser:
chrome://adblockplus/content/ui/tip_subscriptions.xul
and here we go, you are browsing officially (99%) ad-free.
you can varify this by giving this in your browser:
chrome://adblockplus/content/ui/settings.xul
sometimes the plugin makes a little bit trouble due to unfinished porting for the MicroB 3.0, but most of the time it works fine :-)

Doesn't Work

Also could you explain why you can't use the AdBlockPlus in the application manager?

1. you downloaded AdblockPlus from the URL in Step 1.?
2. why you cannot take the adblock plus from app manager? because it's broken and the version 1.02 is the old one.
